I have to admit, after a long summer of being rather uninspired in the style department (disgustingly hot weather will do that to you), I am overboard excited collecting ideas on how I am going to freshen up my look for fall. I've been blowing up my Pinterest boards with fall style inspirations, and patterns are emerging as to what I am drawn to. One of those looks is monochromatic dressing. Nothing new necessarily, and I did a lot of black on black last winter, but I am really drawn to gray on gray and soft olives as well this time around.
The trick to monochrome dressing is simple: mix textures and varying tones of the color and you are good to go. I really like the combo of an oversize sweater with skinnies or leggings. You can break it up a bit with nude shoes, which go well with the grays and olives.
