Spring Beauty + Birchbox Favorites

My skin and hair have been doing their usual season change freak-out. Both my skin and hair majorly dry out at the beginning of a new season, leaving me feeling rather blah, and in a bit of a beauty rut. So I've switched up a few routines and have found some new favorite products from my Birchbox subscription that I would like to share with you today. Along with my current favorite lip and nail colors, which is a guaranteed mood lifter when all else fails!

This product has been a life saver for my dry hair lately. I add a generous amount to my towel-dried hair prior to blow drying. It majorly reduces my frizz, and helps me have soft, smooth ends, which is one of my main problems. It claims to reduce up to 80% od split ends after 3 uses, and I'd like to believe that claim is true! The formula is nice and creamy, but does not weigh your hair down at all. Plus, it smells great and is inexpensive. Win all around.

I picked this up on a whim when it was on sale at Ulta, mainly for the cute package. It touts color correction and care, with an spf of 30 which I appreciate because normally you only get around 15. Here are the claims as far as skin benefits: visibly corrects age spots, dark circles, blemishes, dullness, uneven skin tone, redness, fine lines, and wrinkles. I would say that it does do all this, but not completely. I still feel the need to use a powder on top for more coverage. It also claims that it replaces an anti-aging treatment, moisturizer, foundation and spf. I wouldn't go that far, but I will say that my skin has improved since using this. So I'll give  this CC+  a B+. I continue to use it daily, and will repurchase in the future.

This was a Target purchase I made recently, and I have really enjoyed this color. It reads very creamy and is a great neutral when you want a fresh nail look. You can see it in action from my instagram here. I love the insta dry line, it is the ultimate polish for busy and/or lazy people who don't like to wait around for their nails to dry! I'm both.

I have an embarrassing amount of Revlon lip butters, and this is a new one I picked up for spring. The color looks bolder in the package, but goes on much lighter, leaving a peachy glow to your lips. Or would that be a papaya glow? Either way it is quite lovely and would look great on all skin tones.

This is one of my favorite Birchbox discoveries. This vitamin C face treatment is used by dropping about 2-3 drops on your hands and smoothing onto your skin. It is light as water and my skin just soaks it right up! It perks up your skin by stimulating collagen production for smoother, brighter, firmer skin. To this I say: yes, yes and yes! I have seen all of these improvements to my skin, as well as a reduction in acne. I loved this stuff so much that when I accidentally dropped a few drops on my counter I wiped it up and put it on my face! I didn't want to waste a single drop! I will definitely be purchasing more, despite the $45 price tag. It's worth it!

Another favorite Birchbox item, this is one of the first peels I'v used that doesn't inflame my sensitive skin! The organic formula exfoliates and brightens with acids from apples, lemons and grapes, and hydrates with Vitamin E and aloe. I notice an immediate improvement in my complexion after using this about once a week. I will be purchasing a full size if this as well.

I will never go back to regular polish remover after using these! One pad removes nail polish, and cleans and conditions all 10 nails. This stuff removes polish super fast, and leaves behind a pleasant orange scent. My nails feel stronger and my cuticles soft and conditioned. They come in individual pouches, making them great for throwing in your purse or for traveling. Well worth the price! This was another Birchbox favorite.
