Operation: Boho Backyard

The girls are on spring break this week and my husband took vacation days, so we have a whole week together as a family! We have a day trip or two planned, but I am most excited to tackle a few projects I've had on my to-do list around the house. Mainly, a few bedroom improvements and sprucing up the backyard. Last night we started phase one of what I like to call "Operation: Boho Backyard". We have a fairly nice space, but it is currently lacking style and substance. My main focus for this week in the yard is creating a little nook with a bohemian vibe, filled with seating, potted plants, perhaps a hammock, and just general good vibes. A place I can sit and relax with a glass of wine at the end of the day. Last night we began the process of clearing the area that we will be using for this. It was currently occupied by a giant play structure that the girls no longer played on. It was definitely bittersweet taking it down. I have so many memories of pushing the girls on the swings, or helping them up the ladder to go down the slide. They are growing up, and this was such a big symbol of that. Please excuse me while I go cry my eyes out for a hot sec...okay thanks. Anyway, below are a few of the images I am using for inspiration. Of course there are many, many more on my Garden board on Pinterest.

I'll keep you updated on my progress! More than likely a few instas will be had. I have a little shopping list, as well as some DIYs planned. Here are a few items on my wish list:
