What to Pack for a Cabin Getaway!

I am SO excited to be getting away on a little vacation with my husband this week. A trip sans kids has been long overdue, and we really went all out planning a trip that is super non-kid friendly! Ha! We have rented a cute little cabin in the Ventana wilderness near Big Sur- three nights and four days of total relaxation, beaching, hiking, and being completely unplugged. I'm talking spotty wi-fi and phone service, if any at all! There is no tv in the cabin- BUT there is a temperpedic bed, wood burning stove and a deep soaking tub in the bathroom, which makes this glamping at it's finest. I've been wanting to do something like this for so long! You might even remember this post, (and this guest post) which I have always had at the back of my mind. Glamping in Big Sur-we meet at last!

So here are a few items inspired by what I will be bringing along on our trip. It's all about being cozy and relaxing; we have no fancy dinners planned or anything like that. I'm not going to bring any jewelry or even much makeup. Seems pointless!

Keeping the cabeza warm during cold hikes through the redwoods and to the beach is a must!

A great layering piece that doesn't take up much room in your suitcase.

Swoon!

Just bought this because it is super warm and cozy. The material is nice and thick, and the length is perfect.

Great for layering under a sweater or sweatshirt.

My sock obsession continues.

I bought this just for the trip too. I mean, you have to have a plush robe to lounge around the cabin in, right?

These are so cute!!

I bought a similar pair years ago, and am always excited to bust them out each winter. The perfect hybrid of a regular boot and rain boot.

Super luxe with a faux fur trim!

Would you judge me if I only plan on wearing one pair of jeans the entire trip?

And for some of the fun extras:

There will be some serious marathons going on.

Books!
"Tell the Wolves I'm Home" is what I purchased to read on this trip.

I don't have this, but wanted to buy one for the trip. Unfortunately that got vetoed by the old man. Womp womp.

duh.

Alright friends, I'll be catching you on the flip side. I'm taking the rest of the week off to thoroughly enjoy my vacation. Have a good one!
