Introducing: The November Closet!

Ok, after a little two-month hiatus, the Monthly Closet is making it's comeback! As it turns out, this was a favorite among readers, and I blog for YOU, so I've got my ish back together for ya!

To recap, my monthly closet series will feature 14 items, remixed into over a weeks' worth of outfits.  My goal with this year long series is to help you build a versatile, stylish closet full of items that you love to wear.  Each item is carefully picked to be both affordable, and relevant no matter what your age or occupation. The series runs every Monday, so be sure to check in for new outfits every week!

With the arrival of November, comes the excitement of the holidays and all that it entails. Family gatherings, cocktail parties, gift exchanges, luncheons, cozy days at home, plane trips back to Mom and Dad's, cabin getaways- whatever you have in store, I've created a capsule collection to get you through! With a neutral color palette, peppered with my favorite color of the moment (forest green!) these affordable and versatile pieces will get you through November and beyond with ease!

Old Navy Faux Leather Trim Zip Cardigan
I have this sweater and really like it; you can throw it over practically anything. The sweater material is nice and thick, giving it a bit of structure, and the faux leather trim adds a bit of edge.

JCrew Factory Boatneck Tee in Mixed Stripe
Time to transition from short sleeve stripe tees to long sleeves! Wheeeeee!

Delia's Denim Shirt
We all have chambray shirts by now, right? Ok good. (Just in case you don't-this one is only $15)

Madewell Penfield Buffalo Plaid Shirt
Loving all the plaids. This little guy looks super warm and cozy.

This purse is the ultimate in day to night transitions. Seriously, I would take this with me everywhere.

Lucky Brand Gold-Tone Chain & Pendant Necklace
A pretty little piece to add that extra "something" to an outfit.

Target Mossimo Coated Skinny Denim
You can also replace these with a pair of regular black jeans or black leggings-whatever your preference may be!

JCrew Vintage Straight Jean in Abbot Wash
Not ready to stop loving distressed denim. Sorry I'm not sorry.

Kate Spade Black Small Square Studs
A pair of sparkly studs is a must must must.

Old Navy 3/4 Sleeve Maxi Dress
Another item I own and have worn a ridiculous number of times since I bought it a month ago. The perfect transitional maxi dress.

Toms Cheetah Suede Desert Wedges
For when you want comfort with a little flair.

Zara Leather Ankle Boot with Zip
I am so obsessed with these. A liiiitle bit of a biker edge, but with modern, clean lines. They are the perfect height to slip over skinnies. To be honest I'm a bit played out of riding boots this season, so this height is where it is at for me.

Old Navy Pointed Toe Open Side Flat
Aren't these gorgeous and sexy!?! To say that about a flat seems a bit out of place, but really!

A little snood never hurt nobody.

And there you have it! How are you feeling about this month's picks? I'll be back next week with the beginning of the outfits that can be created from these 14 pieces. Stay tuned!
