My Style: Fall Frolicking in Cable Knit!

Sometimes I convince myself how much I need a certain item when I blog about it. Such is the case with this cable knit sweater from Old Navy. You may remember when I styled it three ways; I pretty much ordered it immediately after creating that post. What is great though, is when the product actually lives up to your high expectations, and this sweater has! It is warm and cozy, yet not too bulky or itchy. I have a major problem with sweaters irritating my skin, so they cannot be itchy in any way or else I will never wear them. I'm loving this one so much I think I am going to order the other two colors as well (navy and camel) .

We had a lovely weekend enjoying the cooler weather, and ventured up to the cute historical town of Columbia for their Festi-fall. Loads of craft vendors, fun demonstrations like horse-shoe making and candle dipping, and we even took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the woods. We were held up by a bandit, which kind of freaked the girls out, but A+ anyway for a fun historical representation of what it was really like! Here's a helpful hint for you in case you are ever in a similar situation: refer to your rings as nothing but "brass and glass" and they will let you go. You're welcome. We also hit up pumpkin patch and took a sunset tractor hay ride (yee-haw!). Basically soaking up all the offerings of fall in the country!

My original plan was to wear this sweater with my skinny jeans and riding boots, but it is still a little too warm in the afternoon to do so. Pairing it with cropped boyfriends and a pair of flats was just right, and super comfy for walking around all afternoon.

Have you been up to any fall fun lately? The time is right!
