The July Closet, Outfits 1-3: Floral Shorts 3 Ways!

To recap, my monthly closet series will feature 14 items, remixed into over a weeks' worth of outfits.  My goal with this year long series is to help you build a versatile, stylish closet full of items that you love to wear.  Each item is carefully picked to be both affordable, and relevant no matter what your age or occupation. The series runs every Monday, so be sure to check in for new outfits every week!

Well, it's back to reality after a nice long vacation weekend. Are you ready to get back in the swing of things? I know I'm not...there is something so magical about the Fourth of July holiday and all it has to offer. I call a do-over!

Kicking off our first set of outfits from our July Closet, I have styled up the floral shorts in three different ways. I love the dark floral print, it makes them appropriate for both day or night. Versatility is a must when it comes to a small capsule wardrobe!

Outfit 1: Paired with a sleek black tank, platform heels and a long necklace, this look is date-night approved!

Outfit 2: A lesson in pattern mixing. The florals and stripes work together because they are unified by a similar color palette.

Outfit 3: Weekending! Whatever your plans may be, pairing with a cute chambray and oversize tote is just the ticket.

Items used in these outfits:

Floral Shorts / Black Tank / Gold Lariat Necklace / Woven Clutch / Woven Platform Sandals / White Statement Earrings / Crotchet Trim Stripe Tank / White Flat Sandals / Tie Front Chambray Top / Geo Print Tote
