The February Closet: Outfits 4-6

To recap, my monthly closet series will feature 14 items, remixed into over a weeks' worth of outfits.  My goal with this year long series is to help you build a versatile, stylish closet full of items that you love to wear.    Each item is carefully picked to be both affordable, and relevant no matter what your age or occupation. The series runs every Monday, so be sure to check in for new outfits every week!  If you missed January, you can check out the entire monthly closet here.

For February I am focusing on incorporating lots of color, items that will transition from winter to spring, as well as transition from day to evening looks.  For the full closet, please refer to the introductory post here.  For outfits 1-3, please see this post.

For this group of outfits, I am working on styling the mint skinnies.  Mint is a great color because it can read both sweet or modern depending on which direction you take it.

4. This look is for the girl with more modern sensibilities.  Mint paired with black is both sophisticated and youthful, making it great for a night out.

5. If you aren't afraid of color, why not pair these three pastels together!  The yellow is on the brighter side, so it helps even out the more muted mint and lilac.  If you aren't so adventurous, swap out the colorful top or cardigan and replace with a neutral like a white cardigan or chambray top.

6. I adore stripes and florals mixed together, so this look is one of my faves! The perfect everyday outfit, I will certainly be recreating this!

Items used in outfits 4-6:
trench coat/ peplum top/ leopard belt/ bracelet/ mint skinnies/ nude wedges/ lilac cardigan/ yellow gingham button-up/ floral scarf/ stripe top/ cobalt purse/ neon yellow flats

  1. Love these looks and the colours are perfect for the upcoming spring!

  2. 5 and 6 are perfect for this upcoming spring!

  3. Cute, cute! I finally got my hands on that Target peplum top after admiring it so long - $9 on the clearance rack, woohoo!

    1. Lucky Duck! I searched two of my local targets and they didn't have the top :(
