The holiday season is upon us in full swing: halls are decked, Christmas songs are the Pandora station of choice, Santa has set up his post at the local mall. I can't help but have a smile on my face more than usual at this time of the year. Everything seems a bit more magical, a little more merry, and a lot more bright. It's also around this time of the year that I find myself really indulging in my womanly spirit. I'm talking that inner shine we all have: be it sassy, confident, or just all around fabulous. Are you with me? I mean, how can we help it when we are constantly surrounded by warm and fuzzy feelings, right? The most outward representation of this is style, and you know I love nothing more than expressing myself in this way! I know you are the same too! There are a few key things that feel so feminine and extra special to me, and are a great way to let that inner spirit shine. So let's indulge a little more, enjoy a little more, and shine a little more. Here's how!
A bold lip:
I can be a little shy when it comes to bold lip colors, but I am trying! Really, is there ever a better time to whip out the red lipstick than now? I tried a daring burgundy recently, and ended up really loving it and the way it made me feel. Never underestimate the power of a girl in red lipstick!
Lots of sparkle:
Pile on those jewels ladies! Be it to a holiday cocktail party, or just heading out to a movie with the family, a bit of sparkle can always be counted on to lift your spirits.
Hands down, my favorite quick thing to do when I'm looking to add some "oomph" to my look is paint my nails a fun color. Feeling dramatic? Opt for a dark navy. Feeling flirty? Grab fuchsia. You get the idea!
A signature scent:
There is nothing quite as enchanting than spritzing on a signature scent before a night out. Pick one scent that you wear solely for those times that you want to feel extra special. Nothing can evoke a certain mood better than scent, so if you keep one just for special occasions it will be that more exciting to wear!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. How do you let your womanly spirit shine for the holidays?
