My Instagram Life

I went dark over the weekend! Ack! This is by far the darkest I have ever braved to go-it has faded a tiny bit since the photo. I would say it is more of a chocolate brown than straight up black.  I was so nervous that my kids wouldn't like it (they are my best critics you know), but they did! Whew!

I was in the Bay Area visiting my Grandma one weekend and was able to spend a quick 15 minutes in a Nordstrom Rack.  We don't have one of those anywhere near where I live, so I bolted in there and did my best recon of the whole store.  Could not believe when I happened upon one size 8 pair of the Me Too "Patty" flats in black that I have been coveting!! (Blogged about them in my Fall 2012 Shoe Trend guide, only in nude-would love that color too).  They were under $40!! I ran to the checkout with those babies!

Last Thursday was our ten year wedding anniversary (what? Am I that old??), so we took the girls to our favorite day trip destination: Half Moon Bay!  I recently picked up these adorable matching sequin hoodies at Gap for them, and had to get a photo op in on the beach! C'est La Vie!

Another day last week we took the fam to Gilroy Gardens for a day of fun.  Of course on the way home I made the hubby stop so I could run into a few shops at the outlets!  I scored this leopard top and gorgeous turquoise necklace at Ann Taylor-both for under $20! Amazing deal!!

Lipstick success: L'Oreal Infallible in Fearless Fuschia. So fun!!

Lastly, my Old Navy spotted flats came in (remember them from Afternoon Sweet Treat?).  I love, love, love them! So cute and comfy.  I realized I had seen the pattern somewhere before...turns out it is practically the same print as the fabric I used on my entry bench! When I like a pattern, I like a pattern!

  2. I have the Me Too flats in three colors and absolutely love them! So super comfortable! I'm thinking of getting another pair in nude just to have a back up!

  3. Love the spotted flats! I'm a sucker for Old Navy flats - such great prices (plus you can always track down some kind of discount/coupon), super cute, and actually pretty comfortable to boot. And your hair looks great - what a bold change!
