Fall 2012 Shoe Trends - The Shopping List

I don't know about you, but I have already put a moratorium on buying any more summer sandals until next year.  It just doesn't make sense for my limited budget-I know that by thinking and planning ahead I can make a few nicer shoe purchases for fall in the next few months, rather than wasting money on bargain bin summer sandals.  (Although it is beyond tempting!)

Piperlime has recently rolled out some of their new arrivals for fall, and after scrolling through them a bit, I narrowed down the trends that I would like to keep in mind for my fall shoe purchases.  And of course I am sharing them with you here so you can keep them in mind too!

Pointed toe flats: Chic and classic, these will be your go-to's for sure

Me Too "Patty" Flat (these are super popular among fashion centered instagrammers)

Colorful flats: A fun way to brighten up the muted outfits of fall.  Some of my favorite looks are super basic black/white tops and/or bottoms paired with the single punch of color from your shoes, like this or this.

Glitter embellished: This is a bit of a carry-over from last season, only now these looks are more widely available and are at more affordable price points.  I think it is just a fun little way to jazz up an outfit, and with the casual flat or boot options, they would even work for day time.

Python Print: Again, a bit of a carry-over, but python is certainly everywhere these days, and will be sticking around at least through the season.

And because it is hard to narrow down my favorites, here are a few more pretties to check out!

Have you already looked ahead and planned your fall shoe purchases? I'd love to know what is on your radar as well!

FYI, Piperlime is having a 20% off sale on everything through today, so now is a great time to make a purchase!

  3. Oooh, pretty shoes! I'm already having to put a moratorium on my fall shoe buying, not just summer... But I am trying to make a few smart purchases for fall instead of bargain bin summer ones too. Now I'm even more pleased to see the flats I found are right on trend with your list :) I picked up a fun poppy color suede pair on super sale at Zara and then ordered the Paige flats, very similar to the Patty ones, from Me Too (one of my favorite brands - seriously comfortable) and also a glittery cap-toe pair from Me Too when Endless had a good sale price - going to have to force myself to choose just one of them, but it will be hard!
