Sweet Styling Tips: Floral Clutch + Floral Pumps

This is one of those surprising combos that I would never have come up with on my own-but once I saw the inspiration pic above I was hooked.  I am now on a mission to add a pair of floral pumps and a semi-matching floral clutch to my wardrobe.  I scoured the web to find us the best combos, and below is the cream of the crop.  Believe it or not, none of these are matching sets!  They match fairly closely, but are definitely not exact-I love the subtle differences!

Option 1: clutch - pump

I am loving the lilac shade that dominates both of these choices.  And the gold cap-toe of the pump is such a great modern accent to the floral.

Option 2: clutch - pump

The more abstract, painterly version of florals on these options are perfect for those who prefer a bolder look.

Option 3: clutch - pump

The black background on these picks keeps them sophisticated and a bit more understated.  They will also transition seamlessly back into the fall/winter months.

For me, being a stay at home mom (Domestic Engineer? Can we come up with a better moniker?), this look would be reserved for date nights, girls night outs or a special event like a wedding.  To create the rest of the outfit, I would keep it print free, and pull one or two colors from the clutch/pump to pair with a neutral.

 Here are a few ideas:

This versatile dress would work equally well with the options above! {black earrings, gold earrings}

You could also dress the look down:

 Pair them with either a fun cropped chino, white trouser denim or colored skinnies.  Add a solid black tank on top and a few neutral accessories and you are good to go!  This is definitely the way I would wear the look. Accessories: black bangle, gold bracelet, white bangle, watch

So what do you think? Would you try out this floral on floral look?

  1. Love this idea, such pretty watercolors too!

  2. I like that the florals aren't dead-on matches. I think that makes the look a bit more eclectic. Love this post!
