New Interactive Blog Series: On The Hunt!

Today I am excited to introduce what I hope will become a fun, new interactive series here on the blog called "On The Hunt".

One thing I end up doing a lot of for this blog is researching and finding products online. But I'm getting bored of just finding the things that I'm into.  I want to help you find the things you are looking for!  Maybe you don't have the time to research a great party dress for under $100.  Maybe you get lost in the internets in your search for a new piece of artwork for over your fireplace.  Maybe you just like getting a second opinion on a cute theme for your daughter's 3rd birthday party.  Whatever it is, I wanna help.

Here's what to do:

1. Email me your question at jackie(at)SweetiePiePumpkinNoodle(dot)com with the subject heading "on the hunt".

2. Please be as specific as possible.  Let me exactly what you are looking for: the who, what, when, where, why and how if you will.  Let me know your favorite colors, sizes, style, etc.  If you are looking for an outfit to wear on a date but hate skinny jeans-let me know!  If you want help styling your bed but would die having a faux fur pillow in the mix-let me know!  This will ensure that I don't waste time picking out stuff you won't like.  And of course, include a price range.

3.  If you have a blog, please leave me your url so I can link to it when I post my finds for you.

This will be on a first come, first served basis.  If I get enough participation I will post these once a week on Tuesdays.

I think this will be really fun, and I hope that you will take part and send me your questions so I can get hunting!

Today I will start with an example of my own.  One of the things I have been on the hunt for recently is a mermaid print for my bathroom.  You may remember one of my favorite bathrooms, posted here (last photo) and I am looking for something similar for my own home. While I do have the source for the original print, I am looking for something more economical.  I know I want it to be simple and bold, in the same general color palette as the original. Nothing too frilly, and no wording.

Here is what I have found so far:

I started with etsy, my favorite resource for original artwork.

I love these mermaids having a cup o' tea.  Via Matou en Peluche.

The bold tail is what drew me to this one.  via EcoCycled

This "river mermaid" is so cute!  via Amanda Kindregan

Mermaid and baby. So sweet! Via The Paper Nut

Next I went to allposters.com, a great resource for inexpensive, larger size posters.

Beautiful colors in this one, and I always love a parasol.

A cute retro version...

...and her sister.  These two grouped together would be fun.

So there you have a sample of what in particular I was looking for and the items I found.

Can't wait to hear what you want me to be on hunt for!
