Monday Morning {P}Inspirations

Hey sweeties, whats the haps? So I basically had the most unproductive weekend ever.  I just sat around twiddling my thumbs, looking around the house wondering what I should be doing. Laundry? meh. Clean the bathroom? meh. Cook? meh. Paint my nails? meh. Sometimes you just don't feel like doing much of anything.  Or is that just me? But, you know what I did do? Compiled this list of Monday Morning {P}Inspirations for you! I'm nothing if not loyal to my readers.

Sweet Brand: All Saints

I've recently become acquainted with All Saints via ShopStyle, and am really loving their edgy chic options.  They have reasonable price points (some more so than others-you kind of have to dig), and have a few brick and mortar shops around the states.  Lucky for me there is one in San Francisco, and we have a little trip planned there on Monday, so if I play my cards right I can peep it out!  Here are a few of my favorite picks, all under $100, which I also featured over on 100*Inspirations, on our Top 15 Under $100 round-up we do every Thursday.

Can we talk about this dress for a minute? I love the adorned bird pattern.  It really makes you look twice.

Loving the blush color of this scarf along with the shimmery gold trim and tassels

A cardigan with an edge thanks to the giant safety pin closure

These are a great casual sandal that will work well with many spring looks.
These have an awesome Egyptian vibe going for them. A great statement earring that will play up a white tee and jeans outfit in an instant-a must-have!

Have you shopped All Saints before?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Interior Infatuation: Calgon Take Me Away

I've been having some serious "Calgon take me away" moments this week, as my husband went back to work after a week and a half of waiting on me hand and foot after my surgery.  And of course it is one of his super busy weeks at work where he has been working 14+ hour days and won't have a day off until Sunday. Uggghh! So much for easing gently back into the role of motherhood.  And what is it with the backlog of work that happens when you are out of commission for a bit?  I was only down for the count for about a week and it's like I have a year's worth of chores to catch up on.  There's my rant for the day.  Let's do some escapism here with these pics from Philpotts Interior Design in Honolulu:

And just deposit me right here thankyouverymuch:

Looks like a scene from The Bachelor.

What I Wore- No Reservations

On Sunday night I had the awesome opportunity to go see Anthony Bourdain speak at my local performing arts center.  Our friends had snatched up four tickets in December before they sold out (in one week!) but then the other couple that was supposed to go with them had to cancel. Bad for them, but good for us, because then we were asked to go! Woo hoo! (Thanks Erin!)  He was so good, as expected.  Funny, crass, smart, wordly, loved it.  If you aren't familiar with his show, No Reservations, you should definitely check it out.  He travels the world and eats just as the locals do, which as you can imagine can get pretty wacky sometimes.

Anywhoooo, here is what I wore:

I was getting tired of my usual dark-skinny-jeans-for-a-night-out look.  I wasn't feeling a dress for whatever reason either, so I decided to dig out these DKNY trousers I have had for seven (!) years.  These go back to my Real Estate days people.  Luckily they are still in perfect condition and fit.  I guess having two kids didn't change my figure as much as I thought!  I busted them out because the whole wide leg look is coming back with a vengeance, and if I can be on trend then I am def gonna be on trend!

This leopard print blouse is probably my best Target purchase of all time.  I really love it.

Somehow my purse never got a good shot in.  Poor guy.  You can kind of see it over there on the right.   Catch him in action in this previous post if you will-sporting him in day 10 of 30.  Wouldn't want to hurt his feelings.

So any Anthony Bourdain fans out there? And sorry Shannon, I wasn't able to cop a feel.

Moe eye candy from NYFW.  These looks come courtesy of Cyntihia Steffe.  Love the tights and booties!

Industrial Coffee Table Look For Less {Plus Spring Cost Plus Finds}

Cost Plus is rocking my world lately with their Spring line of furniture and decor items.  I am particularly drawn to their new line of industrial styled furniture.  This coffee table is my fave:

Here is a very similar look as seen in the home of the adorable couple behind Emerson Made:

And a few more similar looks:

As you can see, the table works well with a variety of other furnishings-it doesn't just have to read industrial country.

Other great new items at Cost Plus:

I love this chair! I think two would look great in my family room.

This desk is amaze. Part parsons, part cross leg=happy time.

This matches the coffee table.  I think it would look great in the corner of a kitchen for storage.

Now this is an amazing deal. A gorgeous 5' round rug for only $90! Yes please!

Also, did you know they have amazing accessories as well?  I have some great earrings and bracelets from there, and am thinking I need to add this scarf to my arsenal:

So pop in Cost Plus World Market if you haven't in awhile!
