Living Room Mood Board: Eclectic Pop

Maggie of Maggie Rose is hosting a fun link-up party today in which the challenge was to create a room using a few items from Lamps Plus.  I figured I would give it a go because I love a good little creative challenge.  Here is what I came up with:

Living Room

This room ended up revolving around the amazing rug, which is from Dwell Studios.  I adore the graphic thistle pattern, it makes such a bold statement.  I then found a great pale blue sofa from Serena and Lily, which comes in other tasteful colors as well.  From there I grouped a variety of eclectic pieces for a real mix and match style:

Awesome flame stitch pillows from Furbish
Beautiful crane artwork for above the sofa from Velocity Art & Design
Two side tables, both with weathered wood: round stacked table and square industrial table
A knitted pouf from CB2 for texture and color
A regal tufted chair from Neiman Marcus
I die over the wall sconces I picked from Lamps Plus
And a great  art deco style lamp for the side table

For wall colors, I have two choices: a muted greige (left. behind sconce-Farrow & Ball London Stone 6) to keep it neutral, or if you are the adventurous type, I love this dark eggplant! (right. behind sconce-C2 Paint Wicked)

I'm really loving this room, I wish it could be my little mommy escape.  I'd bring a pile of books and a nice bottle of wine and just chiiiiiill.  Wouldn't that be nice??  Thanks Maggie for the fun challenge!
