Sweet Life Friday

The It List, which was produced by Jill every Friday has sadly gone on hiatus, so Fridays are now going to be "Sweet Life Fridays" around here!  I figure I would round out my days of the week posts, ya know? Monday Morning {P}inspirations, Work It Wednesdays, and now Sweet Life Fridays.  I guess I'm a Kindergarten teacher like that.  Just indugle me, k?  Anywho, I love me some Instagram, and I realized the other day that not many of you follow me over there, so I am going to start sharing some of my weekly snaps.

A few glimpses of Fall decor around my house:

This sweet little creamer with an acorn motif used to be my Great Grandmother's.  My mom has one just like it that was her mom's.  I love the idea that we both have one now just like they did!  I cut a few mums from my plant outside and voila, a cute litte arrangement was born.  Next to it I put a gourd in a clear jar, which I love the simplicity of.  I never go too overboard with holiday decor.

The pumps on my porch.  My favorite lately have been the green Cinderellas!

Did you know HGTV came out with a magazine?  The premiere issue is on stands now and it is pretty good!  I bought it mainly for this article on how to get the look of the set of one of my favorite TV shows: Cougar Town.  Anyone else love that show? "Penny Caaaaan!!"

I picked up these great antlers at a little antique fair we saw signs for on the way home from my parents last weekend.  It was at the Marin Civic Center and I would say there were around 50 vendors.  It was nice and uncrowded and in such a beautiful location.  We don't usually like to stop on the car ride home, but poor Natalie had gotten carsick and threw up all over the car, so we had already had to deal with all that and needed a pick-me-up!  Nothing a good antique fair couldn't fix!

So I ran down to Cost Plus and picked up two of those pillows like I wanted.  I got thew last two there, I think it was meant to be.  I also picked up the velvet purple one pictured here.  I'm not usually a purple person, but it picked up one of the colors in the print on the other pillow so well.  All in all I only spent $30 for a whole new look!  It adds a great pop to the room that was always missing.  I have some fun ideas to tie in some new colors in the room now too.  More to come on that!

Later that day I realized I was wearing the same colors that were in the pillow.  Too funny.

Have a sweet weekend!

  1. Fun idea! I just finally got on board with Instagram, and I love it! Makes all my random iPhone snapshots (and I take a ton of them) seem just a little cooler :)
