Interior Infatuation: Modern & Muted in Mill Valley

When this updated bungalow showed up in a houzz.com email, I quickly clicked over.  Number one: it said the magical words "California Bungalow" and number two I found myself drawn in by the photos of the modern and muted interior.  The icing on the cake was when I realized it is from one of my favorite local cities, Mill Valley.  You may remember my trip there last year.  I would love to go back again for a visit soon.

Sometimes I find myself craving a completely muted color palette like this.  It's usually when I'm feeling super stressed out, I have found ;)

I just love the hint of sparkle the backsplash tile gives off!

And I have always loved jumbo art pieces of the endless ocean.

A little glimpse at how children live within the space.  What a great little table.

Oooh, rolling barn doors!

This closet looks like a display at an upscale mens boutique. Love it!

A clean and simple bathroom.

And here is the kind of children's room I crave when I am stressed out-one free of a million and one toys! (Although I am sure they are all just put away for these pics-right?!)

Always love vintage lockers as a storage solution.

So what do you think? Not my usual colorful, beachy/boho cottage look, but I am digging it!
