What I Wore: Gingham on the Beach

I'm so creative with these post titles aren't I? I could have titled it "I Froze My Arse Off At The Windy Beach Just To Take Some Wardrobe Pics While Passerby's Stared At Me Quizzically"  But that was too long.

I posted some beach pics on Monday, and in the last shot is how I was really dressed-with my jacket and mom's scarf.  But it's what was underneath that was cute, so I suffered in the name of blog fodder.

I wasn't about to let my toesies freeze so I left my boots on while walking on the beach.  The major plus of wearing tall boots on the beach? No sand in them afterwards.

The floral rhinestone necklace has a few mint colored stones in it-so I threw on my bracelet of the same color to play it up a bit.  I really liked the cooling colors of mint and gray together.  Perfect for the beach on a cloudy day-  I matched the sky and sea.

My necklace is floral, right?!

  1. I love this look... beach pictures are so worth it, even if you froze your tail off. Now we are shirt-sisters.

  2. Good evening from Tokyo!

I love the top~and the look as a whole. There's something to be said about a great gingham shirt during the warmer months. It's just classic and yours is such a pretty color.

    Have a lovely Wednesday, Jackie!

  3. Love that teal bracelet! Wish I was on the beach! Maybe soon?
