A Smorgasbord of Sweetie Pie

Top o' the mornin' to ya! Don't forget to wear some green today, that is unless you get a kick out of being pinched.  In that case, you are about to have a very good day.

Instead of Corned Beef and Hash, I thought I would let you feast on a smorgasbord of pics I have been taking around here as of late....

I thought it was worth mentioning (and obviously appropriate for today) that my girls love this "Green Goodness" juice I picked up at the grocery store the other day.  I, like I'm sure many moms do, have a hard time getting them to eat their veggies. So when they drank this right down an asked for more I did a little happy dance.

The girls were playing dress up the other day and the different little attitudes that they get just crack me up.  Natalie gets all "Hey, look at me, I'm a princess!".  Kara, on the other hand, gets all serious and regal.  I asked them to pose for me, and I think the photo says it all!

Can you handle Kara's curls?? Oh I love them so much.  I've never had her hair cut because I am so afraid they won't spring back like people say.

My drama queen Natalie. "Mom, take a picture of me smelling a flower!"   Umm, sure.

Some recent thrift scores:

Accessories are always so much fun to hunt for.  No dressing room required!

I mentioned previously that a long flowy skirt was high on my spring fashion must-have list, and I knew a thrift store would be the perfect place to find an affordable one.  Lo and behold, my favorite shop didn't let me down!  I found this skirt from the 70's, tried it on, and it fit like a dream!  It's super flowy and you can get some great twirl action in it.  Can't wait to wear it with a casual tank, a thick brown belt and some wedges.

I love the print, it reminds me of feathers.

Speaking of feathers, I snatched up these peacocks at the antique mall I visited on Friday.  I had every intention of listing them in the shop, but now am thinking they might take up permanent residence here.  Still deciding...

They sure have made themselves right at home.  And I need some major props for keeping this orchid alive for so long.  It's already been at least a month, and only one flower has fallen off.  I thought it would be done in a week tops.

Also spotted at the antique mall...
BAM:

You're welcome.  I loved this guy because it reminded me of a hot air balloon.
{Check out chandy cam origins here}

Okay, that's all for now folks.  Let me know if you enjoyed the smorgasbord and I'll serve up some more!

Kara cracks me up! What a little character - so serious! I would keep the peacocks if I were you, gorgeous! Happy St. Pats day - I don't even think I own anything green - yikes!

  3. Love the smorgasbord. Delish. And so are Kara's curls.
I really like your new peacocks. The first thing I thought when I saw them, was those would be fantastic painted turquoise! But I'm crazy like that.

    Happy St. Patrick's Day.

  7. Hi Kristen! The vintage Vogue print I picked up in an Antiques shop, but this etsy seller has a reproduction of the exact same poster:
