Quick Hair Pic

Wow, you ladies were resoundingly supportive of my hair ideas yesterday!  Thanks for making little ol' me feel so good.  It gave me the added confidence to just go for it!  So for all of you who asked, here is a pic of me fresh from the stylist.  My hair was in the process of air drying as I was already practicing working with my hair instead of against it like I had mentioned.  It's going to take some trial and error to get it right, but overall I really like it.

My kids looked at me rather quizzically for awhile.  Natalie warmed up to it quicker than Kara has.  This morning she said "Mommy your hair different?"  And made her little "Ohhhhhh" sound when she is upset about something.  Later I was reprimanding Natalie for something and she told me "You can't say that to me when you have bangs!"  Umm, okay.  My husband really likes it and said I look "Mediterranean"-whatever that means!  I do have descendants in Greece.  So let's see what you all can add to the mix.  What do you think?  Any tips for taming frizzy/wavy hair?  My stylist is going to buy some product for me today. I'll let you know how it works.

  2. Like it honey, tips - I rough dry the top of my hair and fringe (bangs) then just scrunch the lower hair and air dry, try not to touch it too much or it will go fluffy. When dry put your fingers up into hair and juzsh and bit. I would be careful with product as the wet look (and crunchy) is not good, but things have moved on so worth a try. That's how I do my hair and its quick and easy, I just had my layers cut back in so my curls are back. Enjoy going with the flow. Have a great week. axx

  3. I really like it!

But most of all, I like what Natalie said. Because I have frequently said something similar to my husband -- and more than once -- when he comes home with yet another horrible Great Clips haircut.

  8. First of all, i have to say i really enjoy your blog!
I am a hairstylist and my hair is also very wavy/frizzy. Now that I am a mom, i don't have time to blowdry and curl so for a natural look I like to use the It's A 10 leave in conditioner followed by a soft curl cream like Curls Rock or Foxy Curls by Tigi BedHead. Apply on towel dried hair, scrunch, and let air dry. The less touching the better! Good Luck

  12. I hate to be the one to follow Debbie Downer, because if you're anything like me that's the one comment you'll focus on, but I love love LOVE it. Like, I REALLLLLLY love it. You look totally different (not that you weren't completely adorable before), but I could see what your hubs was saying. Not only that, but your eyes look ENORMOUS with the bangs.

I have pretty wavy/curly hair, but I think mine is enough longer that it just looks raggady if I don't blow it dry and style it. I WISH it looked good just plain old wash and go, but unfortch it doesn't. I have heard good things about the It's a 10 product someone above mentioned, and I can't say enough good things about Moroccan Oil. LOVE the stuff.

    Anyhoozle: Jackie + Bangs = J'ADORABLE.

    True story.
    Merci!

  16. I think you look great and somehow younger too {always a plus}. Straightening hair is the bane of my existence and even though I've been shown how by the best, it still eludes me most of the time...best tip is use product and flat iron small pieces starting at the front--my old stylist told me that if you start in the back you'll get bored and won't make it to the front, which is where most people are going to be looking.

    Hope you're enjoying the weekend!
