If I was a rich girl (na na na na na na na na na na naaaa!) I would buy this $9,200.00 Chanel Silk Scarf Chandelier and put it in my dressing room. That's right, a whole room just to get dressed in because I would be rich and could do dumb crap like that. The end.

Personal Style, Defined: Parisian
Ooh, I love this week's Personal Style, Defined because it's Parisian baby! These days who doesn't love a bit of Parisian flair? I'm sure Jill had a heyday coming up with gorgeous French inspired outfits. As far as interiors go, I love the refined, classy look of a traditional French interior:
Had to throw this last image in-I see it in many a daydream in my future.

A chandelier is a must, and the internet has tons of great options at rather reasonable prices.
I love the look of a simple pencil/charcoal sketching framed in a thin gilded frame. Find a great original selection on etsy.
A classy black lampshade looks right at home in a Parisian inspired interior.
Have I mentioned French linens? Do I even need to? I have that represented in the sofa and pillows above.
Also notice the sofa's sexy silhouette and dainty legs.
You can find a little curvy side table like pictured above at just about any antique store, estate sale, etc. I actually have a very similar one that was from my room as a child, which is now in Natalie's room.
And if all else fails, buy yourself a pretty bike to prop in your entry or some Chanel No. 5 for your vanity and call it a Parisian day.
Now saunter over to Jill's blog to get all dolled up in Parisian fashion!
(Side note: If you need a drinking game for this weekend, just come back to this post and take a shot every time you read "French" or "Parisian".)

Interior Infatuation: Storage & Organization
I've been on quite the mission to get all my ducks in a row around here. Everything just seems so disorganized. And the funny thing is, nothing has changed recently that would or should make me feel this way. Everything is where it always has been. It's just that for some reason I now think my systems aren't working. I wonder why? Maybe it's the countless pretty organized spaces I see everywhere on the blogs and mags these days. I might as well throw a few at you to contribute to the cause:

Hip Hop Saved My Life-And Other Stuff
Last Saturday night I went to a Lupe Fiasco concert with my brother-in-law. I was probably the oldest person there. Any other Lupe fans? My favorite songs of his are Daydreamin, Superstar and Shining Down. An interesting little tidbit of info is he recently participated in Summit on the Summit, in which a group of musicians and actors (Jessica Biel was one) climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness on the global clean water crises. You can watch the trailer here. And for you Twihards, he wrote a song for New Moon called "Solar Midnight".
Had to get some proof I was there!
Here I am with my bro-in-law waiting for the show to start. I'm mad doggin' in case you were wondering. It seemed appropriate at the time. Now, not so much.
So hip hop didn't really save my life, but who knows, maybe someday it will. Never say never.
In other news, I got a new doormat at World Market today. And some new marigolds:
Also a new rug to put in front of the slider in the kitchen:
Me likey.

Calypso always has such gorgeous offerings...if only they were a bit more affordable. The prices aren't too over the top, but I definitely couldn't buy a head to toe outfit there. That's why these little coveting posts come in so handy for me: do a bit of dreaming and then move on!

Personal Style Defined: Rock & Roll Chic
Alright ladies and gents, time for our weekly installment of Personal Style, Defined! When Jill threw "Rock & Roll Chic" my way, asking if it was doable as far as interiors go, I thought "No problemo, I'm sure I can come up something". Here it is 10:30pm, almost past my bedtime (I like my sleep people, don't judge), I've spent a good hour poking around the internets, and I'm still empty-handed. Well, except for this pic of Christina Aguilera's closet:
I've always thought it had a bit of a glam rocker vibe to it, what with the leopard print, crushed red velvet curtains and red chandelier. Oh, and that weird naked mannequin that reminds me a bit of Elvis.
I realized I had really hit rock bottom in my search when I googled "Rock of Love set design". What the? So I hope you all can forgive me as I bow out gracefully on this one.
Jill will more than make up for it with her rocker chic outfits, I'm sure!
P.S.-If you can think of any rock & roll type rooms off the top of your head send them my way!

Tiptoe Through the Tulips
My girl Kellie of This Blessed Nest is having a fun Spring Fling party on her blog, and I of course wanted to be on the guest list! I wish I had a fabulous before and after to share with you like her (you will not believe her office/craft room makeover-check it out. LOVE!) but unfortunately my crippled husband has taken the forefront around here so I haven't gotten a chance to bust anything out. Boo hoo. BUT-I did get a chance to take the girls to the local tulip farm for some springtime fun.
I dressed them in their cute new matching dresses and we ran tiptoed around looking at all the beautiful flowers. I don't know why Kara looks so forlorn here, I promise she had a good time.

The other spring news around here is we planted our veggie garden! We ended up getting four tomato plants, four different peppers, onions and one red bell pepper. Sounds like we're in for a ton of salsa this summer. We also had a cucumber, but unfortunately he didn't make it. He pooped out literally a few days after we planted him. Oh well, it's survival of the fittest baby, so if you can't take the heat get out tha veggie garden!
Can't wait until these bad boys start producing!
I'm so thankful we have gad such wonderful weather here lately-it's been sunny and 70 degrees for the past week. I have started a few little crafty DIY's, so stay tuned for the results sometime in the near future.
So what's going on in your hood?

Just Realized...
My master bedroom wall color is a bit like that of Maria Sharapova's. I think I need some new turquoise lamps!
Hey Lindsay, here is my DIY butterfly wall art I told you about.
She just did a great post about butterfly art you should peep out.
Oh, and Kara wishes you all a happy weekend. Her nursery is featured over on spearmint baby today. If you haven't already seen it, go check it out!
Look to Love: PONO Accessories
I'm loving everything about PONO accessories right now. I've been seeing them pop up everywhere in magazines, on celebrities and there was a great sale on gilt the other day. The bold designs and colors are so fun and fresh and would wake up any outfit.
And how could you not love a company whose demographic is:
"..smart, modern women aiming to balance a fashionable and tasteful lifestyle with the demands of everyday life."
That's just so "us" right?!
Their materials range from horn, wood, metal, shell and Italian resin, which all lend to the uniqueness of their offerings.
Here are a few of my favorites:
I was pretty stoked to be sent a PONO accessory to review here on the ol' blog. Here is my "snake" print resin cuff with gunmetal posts:
I wore this while out running errands the other day and got several compliments! I love that it is very lightweight because I can't stand the feel of heavy jewelry on my wrist. And of course it has to stand up to my two little ones: Natalie wanting to wear it and prance around the house doing a "fashion show" and Kara wanting to pull it off and throw it on our tile floor in the kitchen. (Both happened and not a scratch on the thing!)

The Selby for Cole Haan
Have you checked out the new spring ad campaign for Cole Haan shot by the man behind The Selby? It's called "The Inspired Life", and profiles eight stylish individuals in their homes wearing Cole Haan shoes and accessories. I absolutely love the profile of tennis pro Maria Sharapova:
This girl is gorgeous! I love her casual yet glam style. And her house! She designed the shoes she is wearing in the pictures, so you too can strut your stuff like Maria.
Oh, and in case you love chocolate chip cookies as much as I do, here is her favorite recipe:
