Interior Infatuation: California Beach Cottage

I bet the fact that I am posting yet another California Beach Cottage is a real shocker to you.  I can't help myself-I love the style so much.  I just got back from the beach last night and while I was there I was oogling over all the gorgeous homes that lined the beach.  Feast your eyes on this beaut:

Talk about curb appeal!

Succulent wreath-awesome idea.

Those club chairs look beyond comfy.  Great color pallette in this room-understated but still interesting due to the layering of neutrals.  The zebra ottomans from Ballard Designs add fun personality to the room.

Love the green barstools.  Like the pendants too, but not thrilled with the cord covers.  They remind me of a giant scrunchie.

Dining room perfection.  A nice big table surrounded on one side by a banquette, a fun orange chair one end, and matching upholstered chairs on the other.

White upholstered headboard with nailhead trim!  Gorgeous pillows!  Fun DIY-able canvas art!  Matching ottomans at the foot of the bed! Fluffly white duvet! Lime green throw!  I use exclamation points to profess my love!

Nice little vignette

The perfect patio for entertaining.  I can just imagine hanging out there on a cool coastal evening, listening to the waves and cuddling with a blanket by the fire.  Bliss!

Hope you enjoyed this home tour, courtesy BHG.
Man, it feels good to be back!

  1. I agree with all the comments & of course love the photos! The scrunchie comment was exactly what I was thinking! glad your back!

  2. Jackie, this is such a great house! And that succulent wreath--I must make one as I have them growing in a pot just 2 feet from my door--now to find the diy!
Glad you are back and hope you had a fab time!

  3. I love all the greens in this house but I agree those intestine lights have got to go!

  4. really like this one...that fireplace, that orange chair, that headboard...but you're right- totally a giant scrunchie. bleh.

  5. So nice! I love the dining room, trinkets on the shelf, and patio!

  6. Welcome back, Jackie! We missed you!!!
So funny---I just saw this house in a BHG magazine I was browsing through at a spa on Sunday. I was tempted to steal the mag so I could scan and post the pics. We have similar taste---love this house (and also dislike the scrunchie-esque shell cord covers).
