Ikea addition! The girls and I hit up Ikea in Emeryville on our way home on Sunday, and tons of goodies caught my eye:

The dark gray dresser and vanity are gorgeous in person. Love the little white dangly pulls.  Essentially I would like the tall dresser and vanity for my bedroom, although a master re-do i not in the cards at the moment.

I've had my eye on the two rugs pictured above for some time now.  Would like one for under my kitchen table.

As always, the accessories are what tempt me the most.  Fell in love with a cute tumbler set, a pretty glass serving bowl, a fun bird tray and super cool pepper mill.

Unfortunately, I went home empty-handed.  I was trying to be a good girl and not spend money on any non-necessities.  Have you made any recent Ikea purchases?

  1. My husband bought that pepper mill - he loves it! It's really tall though.

  2. You walked out of IKEA empty handed? That is self control at it's FINEST girl! WOW! I could just take one of everything at IKEA, they do no wrong. I'm hoping to pop in there next week while I am in Chicago. Mostly I need picture frames... but WE'LL SEE what else gets in my cart!

  4. Oh my gosh, need to go over now!
I saw that tray before and love it, but what do you think one should use it for? I just like the print but the tray aspect confuses me? Do I have to put something on it? Display it? Maybe if you solve that dilemma I'll have to get it :)

  5. We were just at the Ikea in Chicago, and while I didn't buy a ton of stuff for our house (I preshopped online), I did clean up in the children's department. Bought all of the play kitchenware and whatnot for Mary Clare, as well as an easel for her. I could have spent all day there, but with the hubs and baby in tow, it wasn't happening.

  6. I thought I was good for only leaving with 4 things on Monday! Of course, Ryan was footing the bill with his birthday money so I couldn't go TOO overboard - and since the kitchen island we wanted wasn't in stock, we splurged a bit and got the one we'd REALLY wanted. And then it took Ryan 4 hours to put it together! I was definitely drooling over that charcoal rug too.

  8. I don't have any recent Ikea purchases. But I sincerely respect a girl who can walk in that giant mecca of inexpensive furniture goodness and leave with no random unnecessary goods! Found you through Rosebuds. I'm the newest follower to this fab blog.
