Interior Infatuation: Jeff Andrews Design

Okay, so I couldn't leave you hanging over the weekend without a little sumthin' sumthin' to make up for my last debbie downer post.  Whe I saw these pics of Khloe Kardashian's new office designed by Jeff Andrews Design my jaw dropped.  I love the modern, glamorous, girly look she has going on here.  And that chevron wingback chair? Don't even get me started!

There is a great interview with designer with tips on how to get the look right here.

I had to see more from this designer so I moseyed on over to his portfolio and found lots more goodies:

I feel like I have seen this kitchen before somewhere and absolutely fell in love.  Those light fixtures are where it's at my friends, now if only I could find an affordable version on overstock.com because you know they must cost an arm and a leg.

This family room gets me all kinds of excited.  I actually really love the two-tone sofa. It adds a bit of visual interest to what I think is a very boring piece of furniture.  What are your thoughts on sofas?  I mean I know you can get them in all sorts of fun fabric options, but I prefer a basic neutral that will withstand the test of time (i.e. my total design ADD).  Back to the room: The built-in is gorgeous, and I love how he accessorized the hell out of it.  I'm a fan of knick knacks, but not when they are scattered all over the house-I like it when they are mostly contained to one spot like a great bookshelf or built-in like this.

I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this playroom because of the artwork on the wall.  You recognize it right? From the same artist who made the piece in Molly Sims' apartment.  If you can see, the piece above has the lyrics to "Little Star" by Madonna, one of my all time favorites.  Waaaaay back before I had kids I remember thinking "I want to stencil these lyrics on the walls of my baby's nursery someday". Thanks to my defective memory I had forgotten all about that until I saw this picture.

I'm enjoying this room because it is oh so attainable to the everyday gal like you and me.  I may just work on a "Get the look" post this weekend.

Love this little crisp and clean vignette.
There is one of those amazing light fixtures again, over one of my favorite dining options: a wood table paired with some sort of modern chair.  Then he topped off the room with one of my favorite types of paintings: an abstract, moody wash of colors.  This guy sure knows the way to my heart.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  4. I totally know what you mean by that lyrics art on canvas. I so want to make one like it to put on my own walls; I even prepped an old canvas by painting it white .. but then I can't figure out what lyrics to use! My personal frustration project. ANd ooh I love that light fixture in your botom picture.
Butactually the reason I stopped by today was to let you know how cute your family photo is! I so have to take a photo of me & miss thing laying in the grass like that this summer or one of miss thing and her two baby "sisters" if they would ever lay still long enough for it (both of my nieces just learned to walk). ANyways
    Thanks for the inspiration.
