Your Closet Questions Answered

Here are some more details about my closet makeover that came from reader questions:

Q: "Where did you get that pearl bracelet? It's gorgeous!"

A: Thank you! It is from this online shop.

Q: "What happened to all the stuff that didn't go back in the closet -- that always the big trick. Did you trash or reassign to other areas?"

A: You are right-that was the big trick!  We got rid of a TON of stuff, like old clothes we didn't wear much anymore, as well as got rid of the boxes of junk we had just sitting around in the closet.  You see, I have this bad habit of filling up our kitchen junk drawers to the brim, then emptying them in boxes and sticking them in our closet.  Out of sight, out of mind right?  Not so much. So we finally went through all those boxes and pretty much got rid of it all.  Now, the other major thing we did was reassign all my craft supplies to the hall closet.  We basically just had big coats hanging in there, so we moved the coats to our closet, which freed up space to put in the big plastic drawers you see in the pic below.  The plastic drawers were previously in our master closet, filled with my hubby's stuff, but he cleared it all out so I could use it for my craft stuff.  It works out great!

Q: "Where is that shoe shelf thing from?"

A: I've actually had it for several years, and don't quite remember where I purchased it. Based on my shopping history, an educated guess would be Target! I couldn't find an exact match online, but they do have similar styles here.

Q: "Where is the zebra rug from?"

A: Target of course!! It was only $20!

I want to thank you all for your wonderfully sweet comments about my "Great Closet Organization of 2010".  I'm glad to have inspired some of you to get in yours and give it a go.  Trust me, it is so worth it!
