Gone But Not Forgotten

Nothing used to get me in the fall spirit more than receiving my September, October and November issues of Cottage Living magazine in the mail. I'm still mourning the loss of my favorite mag-it ranked higher than Domino for me. I've mentioned before my all-time life goal is to live in a cozy little cottage someday, and nothing got me more excited about it than the pages off that magazine. Thank goodness that you can still peruse some of the images from Cottage Living on myhomeideas. I present you with the perfect fall visual feast:

Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh these are lovely photos! Have you tried looking at your local library--mine sells off old mags for 10 cents a copy--or even ebay--might snag some old copies for cheap. Just a thought in case you didn't keep back issues.

I never read that, so I'll never know what I was missing out on...

I was a HUGE Cottage Living fan! SUCH a great mag! I love that last picture of the window boxes... to bad the deer would use it for breakfast in my yard!

Oh I miss Cottage Living so much too! I had a subscription for years, and most of my idea binder for home decorating consists of articles and photos from that mag.

Just what I needed. Now just to bring back cottage living. Oh, and do you happen to get southern living? it's starting to become more and more like CL. so exciting.

omg. i was thinking the same thing last week. although, i am a huge fan of country living, i miss cottage for all the same reasons. for some reasons, these two mags could do *Fall* like no other. (in my humble opinion.)

I love the kitchen table with the bench on one side. Have something similar and part of it was my grandmothers. I am thinking of painting it and giving it a facelift and using it as our kitchen table.

Great post!

Sniff...I loved Cottage Living with all of my heart, lol! I bought every single issue (my subscription would always come late so I'd see the issue in the store and buy it anyway - I was that obsessed!) I posted on another site that Living Etc is now the only mag I still read. I never knew that "cottage" meant what was shown in the mag - for some reason, I always thought that "cottage" was somewhere between chintzy and shabby chic. I learned so much!
