Ask And Ye Shall Receive

So the other day I was thinking to myself "Remember that one article a long time ago in Cottage Living with the cute young girl who owned her own home, and painted it all these fun bold colors, and was pictured doing all these cute things like standing in the hallway talking on an old-fashioned phone, and lounging around on her bed with her furry little cat? Yeah, good times. Perhaps I could hunt it down in my Cottage Living archives?...Naaah, that would take way too much time and effort. Ooh, I wonder if any of the 10,000 blogs I follow have posted anything new in the last half hour? Better go check my google reader..."

That was basically my whole train of thought. The point of all this is, and I kid you not, is yesterday I got an email from myhomeideas.com declaring "Discover the cheapest makeover...Give any room a facelift with a fresh coat of paint!" and it used the photos from the exact article I was thinking about a few days prior. Crazy, creepy and cool right? I'm not sure what the design Gods are trying to tell me, but I'm listenin!

All pictures via myhomeideas.com. This website has tons, I mean tons of great design ideas and inspirations, so go check it out if you haven't already.

  1. I love her style! (And your little intro-train-of-thought paragraph was great!)

That room with the big map and standing counter is pretty much how I picture our office in my next house that has space enough for an office. I have the big, honker map in my garage just awaiting wallspace. Love it!!

Going to check out the link. Thanks!

  13. Man, just reminds me of how bummed I was when Cottage Living went out of business. They had such down to earth and attainable story ideas.
