Spring Wardrobe Inspiration: Casual Chic

I, like a lot of other people out there, loove me some Polyvore. I like to dabble in making little sets, but what I enjoy even more is getting lost browsing other people's creations. I mean, there are ridiculous amounts of wardrobe inspiration on this site.

I recently came across the profile of Autumn85, and found myself adding every other set of hers to my favorites (I would add them all-but I don't want to look crazy or something!) I love how she uses a number of the same items and mixes and matches them across different sets. Makes it more realistic, right? I can actually picture myself in these outfits this Spring, especially since I own quite a few similar pieces already.

I wrote her to ask her permission to publish some of her sets and she kindly obliged. In my conversations with her she mentioned that she likes to use basics that one can find anywhere from Nordstrom's to Old Navy in her sets. I think that is why I tend to fall back on basics when it comes to my wardrobe; you can look classy no matter where you bought your clothes, or what the price point.

So, without further adieu, my Spring wardrobe inspiration, courtesy of Autumn85:

Already own similar: shoes, jeans and a white tee. Definitely am going to be on the lookout for a delicious tangerine hued cardigan and peach scarf.

Loving the fun, colorful striped tank. Add some gold accessories and you're, well, golden!

A classic trench is the perfect solution for still-sometimes-chilly spring evenings, and I love the look of a mens style silver watch to add a little edge to an outfit.

A classically casual look that can take you from coffee with your best friend to dinner with your boyfriend.

Here we have the same trench, scarf, earrings and shoes from the previous sets, this time paired with a flirty, feminine little dress. Perfection!

I hope you enjoyed this highlight of my spring wardrobe inspiration! Check out Autumn85's profile for tons, and I mean tons more wonderful sets.

So tell me, what looks/pieces are you coveting this season?

  1. Loving the tailored trench put in the mix. I'm dying over a silver/gray washed silk little Alexander Wang dress that I had to run into at the store yesterday. They just had one...in my size (!)

like you mentioned, there is something in every collection that one probably has already in their closet.
for me, however, i am a flip flop kind of girl. its a true sign that Spring is here, when i pull out my flip flops.
