The Cure For The Common Color Phobic

All this sunshine we are having lately has me yearning for bold, bright color! Since running across this home, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. For me, it is the perfect blend of energizing colors, plus it is all complemented by my favorite neutrals of white and tan. Are you generally a color-phobe when it comes to interiors, or do you embrace your inner color wild child?

Pssst-If you haven't checked out my tumblr lately, I have lots of new stuff posted!

  1. When I started decorating our family room it was pretty neutral. Walls in ralph lauren's "broome" paint with an orangey red accent wall. Couch a neutral khaki green with pillows that matched the orange wall. I'd love to figure out a way to incorporate more color with what I've already got. I still love what I started with, but now I'm really enjoying more bold colors as well.

  4. I love color in other people's homes, but I'm so afraid of committing to a color and then hating it 6 months later. I'm a fickle decorator. As a red head, I'm also really careful about the colors I wear too, so that's probably related.

  6. I am a huge fan of color in the home. However I learned my lesson in my last apartment. Instead of bright or saturated walls I went with neutral shades. Now I change change color more easily with accent items instead of being stuck with a raspberry red wall for 6 years.

  7. I love color, but I've played it safe in my home with just splashes of it here and there. I'm starting to get more courageous though...
