I'm on a spending hiatus. For one month I am not going to purchase any unnecessary item. It's only been a few days and I am itching to buy something! Here are a few fun etsy finds that I am "pretend buying" to try and take a little of the edge off:

i have a feature just like this on my blog. i call it a VSB (virtual shopping bag). sometimes it just takes the edge off if you fill up your VSB and then close out the window. but sometimes it makes it worse. :) good luck with your goal, it's a good one!
You can do it! I've been doing some pretend shopping too, which I have to admit is not quite as satisfying as the real thing, but I'm determined to stick to my spending hiatus.
I too am trying to fulfill a 30 day spending freeze for our family - gas and groceries - that's it! It is so hard, isn't it? I feel like I am more aware and just want to spend more! Especially with all of the after Christmas sales that seem to just keep going and going!

I can see why you are so tempted! I haven't made any necessary purchases yet this year and think this weekend I am going to bite the bullet and buy some new sunglasses (my old ones did break so they could be considering a necessity!).

coming from the support network of non shoppers...keep it up...etsy makes it especially hard, I think...
