Kenneth Jay Lane

It's quite possible I have been living under a rock. Today as I was perusing Bluefly I came across Kenneth Jay Lane home accessories. My jaw dropped and I immediately googled him to find out more, and as it turns out, this guy is everywhere. Apparently he is the "King of costume jewelry". I'm a bit embarrassed that I had never heard of him before! Here are just a few of the websites I came across where you can purchase his pieces: Vivre, Overstock, QVC , Shopbop.

The above items are my favorites from his home accesories line. Up the glam qoutient of balancing your checkbook with the fab Snake Calculator. Posh up paperclips by placing them in the Green Crystal Snake Trinket Tray. Open correspondence with a dramatic swipe using the Black Sealife Letter Opener.

For a fun night out with the girls, I love to wear big, bold, chunky jewelry and his line is rife with it! My favorites pictured above: , Neptune Ring, Hunt Club Link Necklace, Turqouise Embellished Cuff, Devonshire Ring.

He even has a book titled Faking It, which looks like it would be fun to flip through:

Lastly, I found that he is including the below set of colorful faux pearls in the gift bags for the Creative Coalition's Gala and Inagural Ball. QVC will be selling them live on air from the event on January 20, at 12 pm, 6pm, and 9pm PST. They will also have it available online after the event, for $30. I think the strand is such a fun funky twist on the classic:

  1. The name sounds a little familiar but I'm probably confusing it with something else-so don't feel bad! All these pieces are so gorgeous, I am definitely going to have to bookmark this. I have been on a major pearl kick lately and that necklace is just lovely :)

  2. Glad to see your computer is up and working again!
    Pretty jewelry!

  3. Those chunky rings are gorgeous!

  4. Love the post...KJL is my favorite jewelry designer! He does a lot of great figural pieces too - animals, fruit, etc..

  5. I adoreeee Kenneth Jay Lane. And reasonable priced usually.
