For Mylyn- A Vintage Birdie Nursery

Here are some fun items I found that would be so cute for your baby's room:

For the crib set, I absolutely love this fabric by Joel Dewberry from his Aviary collection:

Here is a beautiful quilt someone made with it:

And here it is as a bumper:

This etsy seller makes a lovely crib set out of the fabric too. But if you know anyone who is a good sewer you could hit them up to make it for you!

I think it would look great on a white Jenny Lind style crib:
How adorable are these mobiles, which would make a great DIY project. They could do double duty as a baby shower decoration too!

The rug below in yellow I absolutely adore (Which you may recognize the lilac one from Kara's room):

Of course you need some lovely wall art:

These 8x10 wall cards would be so cute lined up in a group above the changing table:

This silhouette piece is customizable by picking the background color and sending in a profile of your baby:

I just love vintage children's illustrations, which leads to another great DIY : hunt for vintage children books at thrift stores, and frame the pages .

So sweet:

This vinyl wall decal comes in different colors, and can be easily removed when it comes time to move. I picture this perched above the crib:

A few more cute accesories:

For the door:
A pretty tree branch lamp for some soft lighting in the room:

This little lady is filled with rice so she would sit nicely on a shelf:

That's all I have for now, boy was that fun! Hope you like it!

  1. oh my word, i love, love, LOVE it! The mobile is adorable! & I actually had looked at that crib style AND that crib set! I love the vintage books and cards you found too! Geninne (linked on my blog) has great bird stuff too but a little out of my budget ($25 each).
Thanks for all your ideas! You are such a good friend!

  2. love it all. makes me want to have a 4th so I can decorate yet another nursery! The mobile is way cool. We are in the process of putting in a large wall size chalk board in my youngest daughters room with a mini shelf at the top of it that you could change out cute things are your little one grows...like the cute cards you displayed then in a few years a collection of some kind...etc. It is cute! I will try to post a photo when it is painted and ready to show.
